What the Pentagon Thought the Future of Cybersecurity Would Look Like in 2001
The agency forecasted things like touch screens and automated cyber defense.
Nearly 15 years ago, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency looked into its crystal ball and managed to accurately predict a lot of things about the future of cybersecurity technology.
Recently, YouTube user Todd Heberlein unearthed the vintage DARPA film called "Strategic Cyber Defense" that was the source of those predictions.

Among the technologies featured are touch screens and voice-activated computer interfaces, which should be familiar with any smartphone user today. For cyber professionals, some of the security practices should still ring a bell.
