Hack Attack Scoops Up More than 1 Million Japan Pension Records

The management system for the country’s pension service apparently was hit by malware that compromised personal data.

The leak was discovered after someone opened an infected email attachment on an employee’s computer.

The affected records include people’s names, pension numbers, addresses and birth dates.
