Ex-Russian Cop Leading a Double Life in Australia Snooped on Girlfriend Using a Police Database

The police officer actually was a former Soviet soldier who married a Russian bride, without telling the other woman until later. His unauthorized use of the police system to snoop on the girlfriend and her new boyfriend came to light after he loitered around a tree outside the boyfriend’s home.
Roman Eiginson, 53, joined the Australian Federal Police in 2001, a decade after coming to Australia from the Soviet Union.
“He managed to hide his checkered past from the federal crime fighting agency,” according to the Canberra Times.
He had two foreign passports, a Russian wife with a seemingly forged ID, and a troubled past with New South Wales police.
It all came out after the stalking incident.
Police discovered Eiginson had unlawfully accessed protected information to research the girlfriend and her new partner.
The girlfriend had left Elginson when she discovered the Russian woman.
On April 19, 2014, Eiginson drove his car slowly up and down the street of the new boyfriend's house.
The boyfriend realized who it was and called the police, who arrived to find Eiginson standing behind a tree.
Eiginson responded: "I am just getting some sun."
