Ingraining innovation. DiPaolo is responsible for incubating innovation from industry and NGA’s workforce alike. His top priority is speeding acquisition and product development to make innovation a habit. To that end, he led NGA to sponsor a series of hackathons and challenges. His first Challenge.gov contest drew responses from startups, universities and individuals, proving that outreach to nontraditional partners can deliver new options to NGA. DiPaolo also has grown a network of nearly 2,000 technology companies to make it easier for innovative ideas and new capabilities to reach NGA’s decision-makers.
