Mapping the moonshot. As part of his role on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, Altabef embraced the challenge of leading a comprehensive national cybersecurity vision, dubbed the Cybersecurity Moonshot by the White House. He led a group of 22 technology executives and dozens of experts from industry and government in developing a roadmap that will help make the internet more secure for delivering critical services to the American people. Under his leadership, the Moonshot subcommittee of NSTAC created a seminal report that explains the current state of cybersecurity and proposes a route to a future, more secure internet.
