Dick Braun has been promoted to senior vice president for PRC and head of the Systems Integration (SI) business unit. Braun will have full profit and loss and operational responsibility for the unit and will report directly to PRC president Len Pomata.

Braun has been vice president for Government Information Systems (GIS) since 1995, responsible for programs including the National Weather Service's Automated Weather Interactive Processing System and the Patent and Trademark Office's Automated Patent System.

Braun cited a significant amount of opportunity and demand in the government for large systems. He believes PRC is in a good position to meet that demand, having recently achieved a Level 3 rating on the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model (CMM). A Level 3 rating on CMM, which measures the "maturity" of a company' software processes, is a requirement on many large government development programs, and that is where the SI unit will focus its attention.
