Three more government Web sites hacked

Just days after hackers broke into three Army World Wide Web sites, hackers today broke into three more government Web sites and altered the material on the Web pages.

Sites operated by NASA's Ames Research Center, the Naval Space Command and the Energy Department's Brookhaven National Laboratory fell victim to hackers.

The Naval Space Command's home page was replaced by text from recent media coverage of the highly publicized Pentagon attacks, which occurred last month.

The Ames Research Center's page was replaced by a bursting flame and a silhouette of a witch. At the top of the page, the headline read, "Magica de Bin put a spell on you!"

The attacks follow the March 8 break-in to Web sites operated by the Army Air Defense Artillery School, the Army 7th Signal Brigade and the Army Executive Software Systems Directorate.
