Intelligent Decisions to resell Netscape products, services

Intelligent Decisions announced today it would begin reselling Netscape Communications Corp. products and consulting services to the federal government via the General Services Administration schedule.

Intelligent Decisions announced today it would begin reselling Netscape Communications Corp. products and consulting services to the federal government via the General Services Administration schedule.

Under the terms of the semi-exclusive agreement, Intelligent Decisions, based in Chantilly, Va., will carry all Netscape products, including consulting services, on its GSA schedule and its National Institutes of Health's Electronic Computer Store II contract. Intelligent Decisions will add Netscape products to its other government contracts "as appropriate," according to company officials.Netscape ended its relationship April 1 with BTG Inc., which recently sold its reseller business to Government Technology Services Inc., Microsoft Corp.'s primary government reseller.

Intelligent Decisions also will support the relationship through the deployment of a Netscape product manager, who will act as a Netscape advocate within Intelligent Decisions. Intelligent Decisions also is building a trained sales force to respond to customer inquiries and perform follow-up activities.
