AASHTO Technology Group Meets in Texas

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials'Administrative Subcommittee on Information Systems will meet this week in San Antonio, Texas.

Featured on the five-day agenda are discussions on Year 2000, Internet/intranet technologies, Web-enabled multimedia data warehousing, and networking. Officials from the Texas Department of Transportation and the state's Natural Resources Agency will present a session on StratMap, the Strategic Mapping Initiative.

Geographic information system technology is of particular interest to the subcommittee, which will be briefed by the Federal Highways Administration and several state DOTs on the topic.
