Henderson named new Postmaster General

William J. Henderson today was named Postmaster General of the U.S. Postal Service. He replaces Marvin Runyon, who resigned earlier this year to return to the private sector.

Henderson has been serving as the USPS' chief operating officer and executive vice president and is the first postal employee to serve as Postmaster General in the past 12 years.

He begins service as Postmaster General on May 16.
