CACI International Inc. has announced plans to acquire QuesTech Inc. through the purchase of outstanding common stock in a cash deal valued at $42 million.
The acquisition is designed to position CACI, an Arlington, Va.-based systems integrator, in the information warfare and intelligence markets, the company said.
QuesTech's strengths in intelligence, surveillance, command and control, modeling and simulation, artificial intelligence and electronic warfare will enhance CACI's solutions offering and will provide further diversification of CACI's technology offerings and customer base, CACI said.
Falls Church, Va.-based QuesTech, whose board of directors has approved the letter of intent, had revenue of $78 million in 1997. CACI recorded $273 million in revenue last year. The company specializes in developing and integrating systems, software and simulation products in support of government agencies and commercial enterprises worldwide.
