GTSI adds seat management to NIH ECS II

Government Technology Services Inc. today announced that it would add so-called seat management services to its National Institutes of Health's Electronic Computer Store II contract.

Seat management makes it possible for agencies to outsource the management of their desktop computing environments. GTSI's ECS II offerings include project management, help-desk support, network management support, training, asset management and related services. GTSI will offer these services in conjunction with a number of systems integrators, including BTG Inc., Computer Sciences Corp., SRA International Inc. and Unisys Corp.

In the coming months, both the General Services Administration and NASA plan to award multiple contracts for seat management services.
