Stillman to resign from FGIPC

Neil Stillman has said he plans to resign as president of the Federation of Government Information Processing Councils,which oversees more than a dozen groups that deal with information technology issues.

In a Jan. 12 e-mail to FGIPC officers and the board of directors, Stillman, deputy assistant secretary for informationresources management at the Department of Health and Human Services, said he was submitting his letter of resignationbecause he plans to retire from the federal government April 30. He said James Buckner, recently appointed chiefinformation officer for the Army Materiel Command, would become acting FGIPC president on May 1.

"I leave the organization structurally and financially more stable than I found it," Stillman wrote.
