The General Services Administration's Federal Supply Service yesterday released a draft statement of work for a new engineering and technical services multiple-award schedule.

The new Multi-Disciplined Engineering and Technical Services (M-DETS) schedule will offer agencies the chance to buy aerospace, electrical, information technology and logistics services. It is intended to serve as a governmentwide vehicle for agencies to issue task orders against the contract and to develop blanket purchase agreements for engineering services including computer-aided design, configuration management, migration strategy, statistical analysis, and testing and evaluation of products and systems.

The draft SOW includes guidance for vendor teaming and partnering to provide solutions for the schedule. Agencies may also use the schedule for A-76 outsourcing.

GSA has not estimated the value of the schedule or issued a deadline for comments. GSA also has not determined the acquisition strategy. The draft SOW is available at pub.fss.gsa.gov/services/engineering/eng-mid.html.
