The Air Force this week awarded a fourth and final round of 24 blanket purchase agreements under a $750 million program to provide information technology support services.

The awards bring to a close the Air Force Electronic Systems Center's Information Technology Services Program (ITSP)—one of the largest initiatives to buy IT services through the General Services Administration schedule. The addition of the last 24 vendors brings the total of large and small businesses involved in the program to 105.

The Air Force awarded the first 39 BPAs in December and followed with two more rounds in January and early February. The BPAs were awarded under the GSA schedule as part of an Air Force effort to streamline and shorten the acquisition cycle for critical IT support services.

The ITSP awards will act as follow-on contracts to all of ESC's Systems Engineering Technical Assistance and Technical and Engineering Management Support contracts, which focused on ESC's command and control requirements. In addition, the BPAs will address technical support services, including development planning analysis, testing and evaluation, integrated logistics support, configuration and data management, and various specialty engineering services.
