SI International Inc. today announced the purchase of WPI Inc., an information technology support company in Rockville, Md., for an undisclosed amount.
The majority of WPI's $15 million in annual revenue comes from federal contracts, according to an SI International release. WPI's chief line of business is training, but the company also has moved toward offering seat management and software design.
The acquisition is SI International's second since being founded by chairman and chief executive officer Ray J. Oleson (formerly chief operating officer of CACI Inc.) and chief operating officer Walter J. Culver (formerly division president of Computer Sciences Corp.). SI International first bought Statistica Inc., a systems development and outsourcing company, in a deal signed in January.
