Kenneth Johnson, a former executive of Cordant Inc., PRC and other Washington, D.C.-area information technology companies, has been named president of CACI Inc.
Johnson, who became president of Cordant after it was purchased by Tracor Inc. in 1996, will replace Ron Ross, who will leave the company Oct. 1. Johnson will reinforce CACI's business development, merger and acquisition, and internal growth strategies, a CACI spokeswoman said. CACI's primary operations are in the federal, state and local government markets.
Prior to accepting the job with CACI, Johnson worked as a consultant with Federal Sources Inc. In the late 1980s as a senior vice president at Planning Research Corp., now Litton/PRC Inc., he directed $1 billion in bid programs annually. He also has security clearances and experience in military intelligence, which will support CACI initiatives in that market.
Johnson, an FCW Federal 100 award winner in 1997, recently served as chairman of the IT Industry Advisory Council.
