The Republican state parties in Alaska and South Carolina have selected the Votenet.com suite of products from Netivation.com to be the backbone of their online campaign World Wide Web presence.

The Votenet.com suite (www.votenet.com) includes a politically based portal and search engine as well as a host of online campaign products, services and content, including campaign donation information and the CapitolWatch e-mail news service.

J. Sam Daniels, executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party, said the Netivation.com offer was one he simply couldn't refuse, but would not divulge the value of the contract.

"We saw the opportunity to build not only the state party, but our county parties and bring them all into the 21st century," Daniels said. "The value and services they offered were a tremendous opportunity for the state, the counties and our candidates."

Curt Achberger, executive director of the Alaska Republican Party, said Votenet.com was the obvious choice because it contained all the aspects of a successful campaign. "It has the technology, a content-rich site and free e-mail," he said in a release. "In addition, it is instant, interactive, and Netivation.com manages the incoming information, allowing the party to better serve the Alaskan voters by saving time and money."
