New Deal Expands Political Service Web Site

Netivation.com, which operates the Votenet.com online political services, recently announced an exclusive agreement with the Initiative and Referendum Institute to provide nonpartisan information about local, state and national referendums on the World Wide Web.

Netivation.com, which operates the Votenet.com online political services, recently announced an exclusive agreement with the Initiative and Referendum Institute to provide nonpartisan information about local, state and national referendums on the World Wide Web.

IRI operates its own Web site, www.iandrinstitute.org, as well as a sister site, www.ballotwatch.org, which offers information on state ballots and initiatives. The combination of Netivation.com's political information delivery and the two IRI sites means "voters will now have available an unprecedented array of nonpartisan information on current public policy issues they will face at the ballot box," said IRI's president and founder, M. Dane Waters.

The agreement permits Netivation.com to incorporate the content from the IRI's Web sites into Votenet.com. Netivation.com also will have the exclusive right to license ballotwatch.org to other Internet Web sites.

Netivation.com also recently announced that the Republican parties of Alaska and South Carolina had signed on for the Votenet.com portal.
