The Army Materiel Command awarded a $40.6 million contract on Wednesday to Corbett Technologies to provide information assurance services to the AMC chief information officer.

The blanket purchase agreement covers a one-year base period with four one-year options. Corbett received an initial $1.39 million to "analyze, evaluate, coordinate, plan, and implement strategies, policies and tracking" for the AMC information assurance program.

"This contract demonstrates AMC's commitment to establishing a secure...environment in which AMC headquarters, [major subordinate commands] and separate reporting activities can process, access and exchange information [over] government and public networks," said Barry Stauffer, Corbett Technologies president and chief executive officer.

Corbett Technologies was founded in 1994 and provides information security services including the design, protection and recovery of information.
