CACI International expands network services reach

CACI International will continue its expansion into network services with the purchase of NET Federal

CACI International Inc. will continue its expansion into network services

with its completed purchase of Network Equipment Technologies Federal Inc.,

CACI International officials announced Wednesday.

NET Federal was a subsidiary of Network Equipment Technologies Inc.,

which is now doing business as net.com. The company provides secure network

services; network engineering, design, installation and integration; and

network maintenance and management.

NET Federal clients include intelligence agencies and major government

departments. The company most recently reported revenue of about $50 million.

The purchase is expected to strengthen CACI's ability to serve as a

single, focused provider of network services.

"The federal services business gives us great gains on a number of fronts,

all central to our ongoing development of network services as a key line

of business," said Jack London, CACI chairman and chief executive officer.

"It increases our ability to provide complete, end-to-end network support,

enhances our capability to deliver information assurance solutions that

maintain secure networks and enables us to provide a higher level of service

to clients in the intelligence community." CACI also announced this week

that it had won a $500 million Army award to modernize the service's intelligence

and information systems and capabilities.

CACI will concentrate on researching and developing systems for:

* Improved intelligence collection through networked sensors.

* Electronic combat capabilities to counter conventional and cyber weapons.

* Information warfare systems capable of mounting offensive operations

as well as protecting defense and national systems.
