SAP Public Sector and Education will begin marketing a new solution that streamlines work for tax and revenue agencies

SAP Public Sector and Education Inc. will begin marketing a new solution

that streamlines work for tax and revenue agencies.

SAP developed, tested and implemented the solution with the Florida Department

of Revenue. The company's goal in partnering with Florida was to create

a records management solution for other departments to adopt.

The Florida agency hopes to begin using the new solution in the spring.

Tom Shirk, president of SAP Public Sector and Education also announced Thursday

that the company recently completed a partnership agreement with Andersen

Consulting. Andersen joins KPMG Consulting LLC, Deloitte Consulting and

others as SAP partners focused on the public sector.

Shirk also said that Folsom, Calif.-based EA Consulting Inc., recently became

SAP's first application service provider in the state and local space.

In conjunction with that news, EA and SAP announced that the Oklahoma City

school system signed a contract with the companies earlier this week.
