Navy deals worth nearly $1 billion
Spawar awards two contracts for C4ISR systems that could be worth nearly half a billion dollars each
The Navy awarded two five-year contracts on Tuesday for command, control,communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissancesystems that could be worth nearly half a billion dollars each.
The Space and Naval Warfare SystemsCommand in San Diego awarded Resource Consultants Inc., Vienna, Va., anindefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract worth as much as $490.93million.
AMSEC LLC, Virginia Beach, Va., was the winner of a companion $422.39million contract and will compete with Resource Consultants for deliveryorders.
The two companies will perform data processing, engineering, equipmentfabrication and modification, installation, inspection, testing and otherservices for Navy C4ISR ship- and shore-based systems at Bremerton, Wash.,Honolulu and San Diego, according to a Pentagon announcement.
