The Drug Enforcement Administration has awarded a $9.8million task order for intranet engineering services to PEC Solutions
The Drug Enforcement Administration has awarded a $9.8-million task order for intranet engineering services to PEC Solutions Inc., a professional services firm specializing in Web-enabling projects.
The contract, awarded Monday under the Department of Transportation's Information Technology Omnibus Procurement II, involves the design, implementation and support of an enterprisewide intranet.
The system will deliver integrated administrative, intelligence and case management applications to securely collect and store digital files for law enforcement agents worldwide, said David Karlgaard, president and chief executive officer at PEC.
In addition to the DEA, Fairfax, Va.-based PEC has a number of other federal clients that include the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts, said company spokesman John McNeilly.
Electronic Data Systems Corp. also recently selected PEC as a subcontractor for the Navy Marine Corps Intranet installation, McNeilly said.
