Vignette opens D.C.-area office
E-business solutions provider Vignette focuses its federal presence following buys from four agencies
Four agencies — including the Defense Department — recently bought e-business solutions from Vignette Corp., and now the company has made it easier for the rest of the federal government to do the same.
Vignette announced Wednesday that it has opened an office in Reston, Va.
The company had a scattered federal presence for five months, said Maury Lane, Vignette's director of public relations. That changed with the opening of the Reston office, which has about 15 staff members, Lane said. He added that the move has been well-received by potential government customers.
Since Vignette's recent inclusion on the General Service Administration's Federal Supply Schedule, four agencies have bought software from it for their online business needs: the National Science Foundation, the Army Air Force Exchange Service, the Navy and DOD.
The agencies are using the following products:
The Vignette V/5 Content Management Server, which integrates content management, scalable content delivery and personalization for conducting business electronically. The Vignette V/5 Lifecycle Personalization Server, which is an enterprise platform for building personalized e-business applications. It provides a personalized experience to customers, employees and business partners. The Vignette V/5 Relationship Marketing Server, which is an e-marketing solution that measures and analyzes customer interactions across multiple business outlets. The Vignette V/5 Communication Server, which enables online customer contact via any communication device. The Vignette V/5 Advanced Deployment Server, which supports the automated deployment of new and updated digital assets across a multiple-server online environment. "Given the demand among federal agencies for efficient and effective software solutions, it made good business sense for Vignette to open an office that is located close to this very important customer base," Mike Vollman, Vignette's senior vice president of sales and services, said in a release.
