Auto-response e-mail can unruffle constituents' feathers

This is in response to a March 19 FCW.com article, "Report: Congress awash in e-mail."

Why did the Congress Online Project list the most obvious, simplest and cheapest solution last? "Congressional staffers should learn to better use the hardware and software they already own."

The article said that most staffers already had the hardware and software to sort and "auto response" e-mails — like the White House does. Just that simple step will unruffle a lot of feathers!
