GTSI Corp. has earned Cisco Gold status, the highest certification that Cisco gives its partners
GTSI Corp. has earned Cisco Gold status, the highest certification that Cisco Systems Inc. gives its partners.
GTSI announced July 9 that it has met Cisco's requirements to prove that it can properly position, sell, install and support Cisco solutions throughout the world. GTSI is among a handful of government-focused product and solution providers to achieve Gold status.
The company received Cisco Silver certification last October and, in the past year, GTSI's Cisco Technology Team has earned specific certifications in four areas: wireless technology, advanced security solutions, voice access and IP telephony.
GTSI carries a full line of Cisco products on its General Services Administration schedule and other government contract vehicles. The systems integrator also provides professional services through a dedicated Cisco Technology Team of more than 15 staff members, all of whom are certified at one or more levels in Cisco networking or design, said Laura Moon, GTSI's Cisco Technology Team senior business manager.
GTSI's Cisco customers include the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department, the Internal Revenue Service, the University of the District of Columbia and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Moon said, adding that achieving Gold status "recognizes our tremendous capability to help customers in all areas."
