CACI acquiring ERP specialist
CACI International has signed a letter of intent to acquire Digital Systems International Corp.
In a move to expand its portfolio of systems integration, managed network services and information assurance capabilities, CACI International Inc. announced Aug. 13 that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Digital Systems International Corp.
DSIC specializes in implementing enterprise resource planning systems, including large-scale financial and human resource systems and e-procurement applications.
Other DSIC services include:
* Developing client/server and Web-enabled applications.
* Operating a large-scale enterprise networking and information assurance practice.
* Solving complex business problems with a process modeling and simulation methodology.
* Providing acquisition/program management consulting services, primarily for the federal government.
DSIC's federal customers include NASA and the departments of Defense, Justice, Energy, Education and Agriculture. Its revenue for the past 12 months was about $55 million. The company, with headquarters in Arlington, Va., has about 550 employees in Virginia, Maryland, Alabama, South Carolina and California
The acquisition will be financed through CACI's existing credit facility and should be completed within 90 days. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
J.P. London, chairman and chief executive officer at CACI, said the DSIC acquisition will broaden CACI's customer base, "particularly within our systems integration and managed network services lines of business." He said the companies' combined resources and personnel provide "stronger qualifications for our future business development opportunities."
