Drug-testing firm on GSA schedule

American Bio Medica Corp. looks to increase government business in the probation arena

Federal agencies looking for the fastest way to purchase drug testing products and services now can look to the General Services Administration schedule, which added American Bio Medica Corp. to its ranks Aug. 6. The addition simplifies the ordering process for agencies interested in purchasing ABMC's products, which include on-site drug-testing kits and support services, by allowing them to place orders directly with the company.

ABMC's global public-sector customers include the governments of Mexico and the Dominican Republic, as well as the state of New York.

Robert Aromando Jr., chief executive officer and chairman of American Bio Medica, said the GSA award is an "important milestone" for the company. He is expecting significant new government business, "specifically with the federal probation and pretrial segment."
