Anteon announces resale deal

The company will team with a networking solutions provider to resell its products to federal customers

Anteon Corp., an information technology integrator, and Allot Communications Ltd., a provider of policy-based networking solutions, announced a new resale agreement on Sept. 4. Under the agreement, Anteon will resell Allot's NetEnforcer products to its federal government customers.

The Anteon/Allot alliance offers government agencies e-commerce and intelligent traffic management solutions. Allot's bandwidth management products reduce application response time while attempting to increase user productivity.

NetEnforcer enables network managers to monitor, categorize and optimize network traffic. The product gives users the power to shape network bandwidth and deliver systemwide service-level guarantees based on the needs and priorities of the agency, according to officials at Burlingame, Calif.-based Allot.

Sam Bickford, Anteon's vice president of product applications and services, said the company's customers can now not only get "best-of-breed e-commerce solutions, but...advanced bandwidth management tools that increase productivity."

Anteon, headquartered in Fairfax, Va., has numerous federal customers, including myriad Defense Department agencies, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Postal Service, and the Transportation Department.
