In a move designed to illustrate that it is more than just an electronic forms company, JetForm Corp. has re-launched itself as Accelio Corp. and insists that its new name and focus will not negatively affect its government customers.

During the past 17 months, Accelio formed strategic partnerships with Siebel Systems Inc. and Accenture to help ensure that its solutions can be easily deployed within an organization's existing technology infrastructure. The strategic relationships have also expanded the company's reach in some markets, including the public sector and financial services.

"We want to show that we're more than just a forms company," said Alistair Lee, corporate evangelist at Accelio. "A process doesn't end by just capturing information in a form. There's also integrating and presenting that information."

Along with a name change, the company has adopted a new product naming format. All Accelio products now fall under one of three solution brands: Accelio Capture (formerly e-Forms), Accelio Integrate (formerly e-Process) and Accelio Present (formerly e-Document Presentment).

"We're continuing to support our government customers in every way possible," Lee said. "There will be no disruption of service."

The new name, Accelio, denotes acceleration and was approved by the company's board of directors and shareholders at the annual general meeting held in Hull, Quebec, Sept. 12. The firm officially began operating under the new moniker Sept. 17.
