March 15, 2002 — Develop component-based architecture models for the current 24 e-government initiatives, based on commonly accepted technology standards. These models will serve as guidelines for the initiatives' target architectures (where they need to be) and transition architectures (the technology needed to get the initiatives to their targets).
April 30, 2002 — Identify possible additional e-government initiatives for fiscal years 2003 and 2004, based on the potential impact on and value for citizens.
April 30, 2002 — Create a high-level federal enterprise architecture database to track the common business and data issues in the four focus areas that cut across all agencies' services: homeland security, social services, economic stimulus and back-office operations.
