SAIC acquires small business
VGS Inc., a systems integrator based in Fairfax, Va., is exclusively a government contractor
Science Applications International Corp. a major technology provider to the federal government, has acquired VGS Inc., a systems integrator based in Fairfax, Va.
SAIC announced the acquisition Jan. 28 without disclosing financial terms.
VGS, with annual revenues of about $17 million, is exclusively a government contractor, with 55 percent of its business coming from civilian agencies and the rest from the Defense Department. It has been an employee-owned company with U.S. government small-business status.
SAIC, based in San Diego, reports revenues of about $6.1 billion annually with customers in both the government and commercial sectors.
