NASA extends CSC's Prisms contract

NASA awards an $80 million contract extension for the Program Information Systems Mission Services

NASA has awarded an $80 million contract extension to Computer Sciences Corp. for the Program Information Systems Mission Services, or Prisms, project.

CSC first won the contract in 1994. Under the contract, the Falls Church, Va.-based company supports NASA computer systems, software, telephone systems, audio/visual services and information management systems, including NASA's Incident Response Center and its Automated Data Processing Consolidation Center at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.

The latest extension continues the contract through December 2003. The Prisms contract has a total value of $1.2 billion.
