Unisys to consolidate public-sector arm

Unisys Corp. is consolidating its Global Public Sector division into its facility in Reston, Va.

The information technology firm will add 900 jobs over the next three years, including 150 that will move from the company's Washington, D.C., office.

A Unisys spokeswoman said the expansion will include technical, managerial and administrative staff.

Consolidating the three public-sector offices — the third is in McLean, Va. — into one will save money for the company and reduce travel time, resulting in a more streamlined organization, the spokeswoman said.

The company will maintain a small Washington, D.C., office, she added.
