Hewitt joins Input

Fed Sources founder Tom Hewitt is joining competitor Input

The founder of Federal Sources Inc. has joined Input, a federal market intelligence firm in Chantilly, Va., as a member of its board of directors.

Tom Hewitt will assume his new position Sept. 1.

Hewitt founded FedSources in 1984 to conduct market research and offer consulting services on government information technology. He sold the company to Primedia Information Inc. in 1998. Hewitt is also the founder and chief executive officer of Global Governments Inc., which specializes in strategic planning and marketing in the international government technology marketplace.

His position on the Input board will help support that company's growth, said Input president Peter Cunningham. "His unequaled knowledge of the government marketplace and vendor opportunities will be significant asset to INPUT's over 600 clients," Cunningham said.

Hewitt's focus will center on Input's Advisory Services business, including the Partner/Acquisitions and Consulting Practices.
