IceWeb, iPlicity to merge
IceWeb Inc., an e-learning firm, has signed a merger agreement with iPlicity, Inc. a developer of Web content management software located in Reston, Va.

The $1 million cash and stock deal will broaden IceWeb's reach into federal agencies, along with other markets, company officials said. The two companies will consolidate into IceWeb's Herndon, Va., headquarters, with iPlicity operating as a wholly owned subsidiary. The merger will create a new division, iPlicity/Learningstream, to combine IceWeb's LearningStream, IceShow, IceSlide and IceCast software with iPlicity's Web software.
IceWeb's products aid in the creation of interactive multimedia presentations for online training and education. "The Internet is pervasive, and so is our software," said John Signorello, chairman and chief executive officer of IceWeb. "Every company in the world is now a potential IceWeb customer."
