SRA overhauls exec ranks

Several top managers at the outsourcing and integration firm will change positions on Nov. 12.

Several top managers at SRA International Inc. will change positions on Nov. 12, the date of the company's annual shareholder meeting.

Chief Operating Officer Ed Legasey is semi-retiring, and the resulting changing of positions, which SRA's board of directors approved at an Oct. 9 meeting, are the best way to move the technology outsourcing and integration firm ahead, said Ernst Volgenau, the company's founder, president and chief executive officer.

The executive shifts include:

* Volgenau becoming chairman of the board and continuing as CEO.

* Legasey going to a part-time position as a nonexecutive board member and relinquishing his jobs as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

* Renato DiPentima, head of the company's consulting and systems integration sector since 2001, becoming president and chief operating officer.

* Stephen Hughes, senior vice president since 1993 and chief financial officer since 1996, continuing as chief financial officer and assuming the new position of senior vice president and chief of finance and administration.
