Government customers have a few options when it comes to Linux-based e-mail servers.

Suse Linux currently offers Openexchange Server — for workgroups, departments, and businesses of up to around 500 users — and plans to launch an enterprise version by the end of 2004. In addition, Gordano Ltd.'s messaging server runs on Linux as well as Sun Microsystems Inc.'s Solaris and Microsoft Windows.
