Robbins-Gioia hires Emory Miller

Emory Miller, who retired from the General Services Administration in January, will join consulting firm Robbins-Gioia LLC March 1 as a senior vice president of government affairs. Miller had been director of IT professional development at GSA and led the SmartBuy initiative to develop an enterprise software licensing plan until his retirement.

Miller first worked for the government in 1967, taking a position with the Army Department. He worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Internal Revenue Service before joining GSA in 1996.

Grace Robbins, senior communications manager at Robbins-Gioia, said Miller's knowledge of the government is impressive.
