House Committee on Government Reform
Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.) named Melissa Wojciak new staff director for the House Government Reform Committee that he chairs.
Davis promoted Wojciak from her former job as staff director for the Technology and Procurement Policy Subcommittee.
"Melissa brings tremendous experience and ability to her new post, and I have no doubt she'll do an outstanding job steering the ship," Davis said.
Wojciak, a 2003 Fed 100 award winner, replaces Peter Sirh, who has accepted a position as partner with the Patton Boggs LLP law firm in Washington D.C. Sirh held the staff director's position since January 2003.
In an additional change, David Marin became the committee's new deputy staff director. Marin will also continue his duties as communications director.
