Dolezal, Skoch join Suss

The former government officials will work for the telecom and IT consultant.

Two former government officials joined Suss Consulting Inc., a telecommunications and information technology consulting firm in Jenkintown, Pa.

Suss hired James Dolezal, former chief of telecommunications at the Interior Department, and Bernie Skoch, a retired Air Force brigadier general who was principal director for customer advocacy at the Defense Information Systems Agency.

With his experience as Interior's representative on the National Communications System — an interagency group responsible for providing secure telecommunications in times of crisis — Dolezal is natural fit for an IT and telecom consulting company, President Warren Suss said.

"Jim has had a major influence on government telecommunications policy and acquisitions," Suss said. "He has good technical depth and he's able to do a good job communicating. He helps customers understand what things look like through the government's eyes."

Skoch brings a similar perspective, Suss added.

"Skoch is well respected in the community on the corporate side as well as the government side," he said. "He not only has depth of insight into the Air Force's [IT] needs and programs, but also he has a deep understanding of the DISA organization. He interacted with senior decision-makers across the Defense Department to identify their needs and ensure that DISA was meeting their needs. He also has excellent organizational and project management skills. Bernie is the kind of person that can take a lead role on our consulting assignments."
