SAIC exec takes SiteScape helm

Brian Hays will be CEO and chairman of SiteScape, a provider of secure Web-based enterprise collaboration technologies.

Brian Hays, a former senior vice president at Science Applications International Corp., has been named chief executive officer and chairman of SiteScape Inc., a provider of secure Web-based enterprise collaboration technologies.

Hays succeeds Timothy Butler, SiteScape's founder. Butler will remain on the SiteScape board of directors.

SAIC is a longtime SiteScape partner, according to SiteScape executives. During his tenure at SAIC, Hays headed up the development and marketing of SAIC/Telcordia Technologies Inc. call centers and related services to both government and commercial organizations. He also was in charge of SAIC's Collaboration Solutions/HUBS division, where he developed defense applications.

In a statement, Hays expressed his pleasure at taking the SiteScape role. "Tim Butler built a solid company and I couldn't envision a better time to join SiteScape, given the company's momentum," he said.

"Brian's experience and leadership in the federal market made him the ideal choice to take SiteScape to the next level," said Ronald Bohlin, member of SiteScape's board of directors, in a statement. "Given our market focus, we sought an individual who has both a track record of success in leading companies as well as an in-depth knowledge of the government sector."
