EDS' Global Security Operations Center has been certified as complying with an international standard for information security management.
EDS is the sixth U.S.-based organization to meet the standard, called BS 7799-2:2002, and one of only two managed security services actually operating the United States to have it, according to officials at BSI Inc.'s BSI Management Systems, the registrar that helped EDS align its practices to the standard.
EDS' security operations center provides round-the-clock managed security services for federal, state and local agencies, and for commercial firms. Its services include firewall management, intrusion detection, computer incident response, and computer forensic services.
