ICG partners with Fed Sources

They will work together on consulting business.

Don Upson, Virginia's former secretary of technology, and his company ICG Government have decided to become affiliated with Federal Sources Inc. to work together on consulting initiatives.

Upson, whose consulting firm had been connected with Input, said he decided to make the move because FSI "offers a rich history of providing research which complements what I do."

"We're partnering in some significant ways. We'll be doing some strategic initiatives. They have some seasoned people there now," Upson said.

Until now, ICG, which provides consulting, training and strategic advice, had been affiliated with Input, another technology think tank that provides analytical research for technology companies in the government market and other sectors.

"I need a partner whose capabilities complement mine, and [FSI President and chief executive officer] Bill Gormley and I have been friends for a long time, magnify what we do together. One and one makes three," Upson said.
