September 2003: Army officials merged active Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard networks into an enterprise network, LandWarNet.
March 2004: Service officials released a request for proposals to hire a vendor for data storage and network management for the Continental U.S. Theater Network Operations and Security Center, which monitors services' domestic networks.
