NSA uses NCI for knowledge management
NCI Information Systems will get $35 million for work on the National Security Agency's Knowledge System Prototype Development program.
Officials at NCI Information Systems announced the award of a $35 million contract to develop a knowledge management system for the National Security Agency.
NCI employees will work on the capability for NSA’s Knowledge System Prototype Development program. The prototype supports the agency’s broader Knowledge Management program to improve its ability to turn data into information and knowledge, according to a March 16 company statement.
“NCI is extremely pleased to have been selected by NSA to assist them in this knowledge management initiative,” said Thomas McDermott, general manager of NCI’s Scientific and Engineering Solutions Group, in the statement.
Work on the multiyear contract will start soon, according to the statement. NSA makes and breaks codes and protects computer systems for the federal government.
