Gloria Parker, former CIO at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, will be a senior VP at Apptis.
Gloria Parker, former chief information officer at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, has joined Apptis as senior vice president for business development and strategy in the public and commercial sector.
Parker, who has 10 years of government information technology experience, was HUD's first CIO and chief technology officer during her tenure at the agency from 1998 to 2005.
"Parker's background and expertise in business process improvement, performance-based acquisition and in developing enterprise architecture solutions promises to make her an excellent addition to the company," said Rene LaVigne, president and general manager of Apptis' public and commercial sector.
Apptis was formerly known as PlanetGov.
Before joining HUD, Parker was deputy CIO at the Education Department, where she worked from 1994-98. She also held systems engineering, marketing and executive management positions at IBM.
