NSA hires Bridge for support

Officials at SI International's Bridge Technology subsidiary announced this week their first two contracts since the systems integrator acquired Bridge last December.

The company reported May 9 that Bridge was awarded a prime contract to support the National Security Agency. SI described the contract, which will span four and a half years and has a six-month base period and four one-year options, as a multimillion-dollar deal.

Under the contract, Bridge will provide program management, resource management, cost modeling, business analysis and software engineering services.

Also, SI disclosed today that Bridge won a contract to help NSA train personnel on a new financial management system. This project will involve developing courses for more than 6,000 students worldwide. The project has a one-year base period and two one-year options.

SI paid $30 million for Bridge in a move to augment SI's customer base among intelligence agencies. Bridget's services include program management, acquisition management, logistics management, systems engineering, software engineering and business process reengineering.

At the time of the acquisition, Bridge employed 140 people, about 90 percent of whom held security clearances.
