American Systems gets new CEO

William Hoover, who has led several other major government information technology contractors, starts his new job June 27.

American Systems Corp. has appointed William Hoover to be its new president and chief executive officer. Hoover has led several major government information technology contractors. He will begin his new duties June 27.

Most recently, Hoover was president and chief operating officer of Dynamics Research. In a career spanning more than 25 years, he also has been president and chief operating officer of PRC and executive vice president of BDM International.

“I have known and worked with Bill for 20 years and am extremely pleased that he will lead ASC during this exciting time," said Don Burklew, chairman of ASC’s Executive Search Committee, in a statement. “I am very confident that he will make an immediate and positive impact on the company.”
